Does the make-up of the article conform to the required sections: 1.
Introduction, 2. Methodology (description of the techniques, the materials,
the setting etc.) 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Conclusion, 6. References.
Check each section:
Introduction: This paragraph
must lead onto the subject by giving an overview of the existing publications
of this topic. This overview should be critical and explaining the reader
why the subsequently described approach was taken.
Methodology: This paragraph must contain a detailed description of the setting when
dealing with patients, of the technical set-up in case of follow-up (video,
tapes, protocolls, questionnaires etc.), etc.
Results: This paragraph must contain the results of the study, either descriptive or
in form of tables or graphs. When statistics were used details must be
given. When the study is a case report, the patient`s true identity must be
protected by giving a him/her a new first name or initials. An ICD-10
Diagnosis and a character structure diagnosis according to Lowen (or
according another conceptual approach) is mandatory.
Discussion: This paragraph
must be a critical discussion of the results achieved, with reference to
other similar work. The Conclusions of the work may be incorporated into
the discussion if the work supports this.
Conclusion: This paragraph
may be short. The author must sum up what he/she has concluded from the
work reported and how the work in the future will be altered due to the
results achieved. Also futuristic mention can be made to possible new investigations
or new concepts.
